There’s something sacred about the spaces between sound, the quiet pause between notes, the hush before a word lands. Sound is more than something we hear; it’s something we feel in our bones, our hearts, and even in the water that makes up most of our bodies.
In my own life and in the work I do with clients, I’m always guiding them to notice this: what are you listening to? What frequencies, words, and vibrations are you allowing to move through you every single day?
When I wrote my Master’s dissertation, I dove deeply into the healing power of sound and music. One of the most fascinating pieces of research I explored was Dr. Masaru Emoto’s work with water. If you haven’t come across it before, Emoto photographed water crystals after exposing them to words, prayers, and music. Loving words like “thank you” and “I love you” formed beautiful, symmetrical crystalline patterns, while words like “hate” or “you fool” created distorted, chaotic shapes.

Here’s the part that still feels like a miracle to me: we are made of roughly 70% water. If sound, prayer, and intention can transform water at a molecular level, imagine how deeply it’s affecting us.
This is why I often invite clients to practice speaking blessings over their water before they drink it. It can be as simple as holding your glass in both hands and whispering words of gratitude or a prayer of love. The water receives that vibration and carries it into your body, nourishing you at a cellular level. It’s such a simple act, yet profoundly transformative, and it reminds us how truly magical and alive water is.
This awareness extends to the music we listen to and the words we speak. Both are frequencies moving through the water in us, shaping how we feel, think, and even how we heal.
Here are a few ways to begin tuning your inner and outer soundscape:
🌿 Begin your mornings with intentional sound. Before reaching for your phone or scrolling, play high-vibration music—Solfeggio frequencies (like 528 Hz for healing and love), gentle acoustic tracks, or sacred chanting. Notice how your energy shifts.
🌿 Use sound to clear your space.Sound moves energy. Tibetan singing bowls, drumming, or crystal bowl recordings can help dissolve heaviness in your home. Even clapping your hands in the corners of a room or playing a sacred playlist as you tidy can lift the atmosphere.
🌿 Speak blessings over your water. This simple practice can change everything. Hold your glass of water and speak words of love, healing, or gratitude. Visualize the water absorbing that frequency and carrying it into every cell of your body.
🌿 Choose lyrics and words that nourish. The words we repeat—even in the form of songs—leave an imprint. Swap music with chaotic or disempow
ering messages for songs that feel expansive and life-affirming.
🌿 Let your own voice be medicine. Humming, singing, or softly toning can bring your body into harmony. Your voice carries a vibration that soothes your nervous system and recalibrates your energy field.
🌿 End your day with calming tones. Before bed, play soft instrumental music, nature sounds like ocean waves, or ambient soundscapes that invite deep rest.
Sound is not just entertainment; it’s a carrier of vibration. It has the power to recalibrate your energy field, soothe your emotions, and even awaken the deepest parts of your soul.
This is the heart of the work I do with my mentoring clients: helping them tune their lives—not only their thoughts and actions, but also the music, words, and even the water they consume—to the frequency of their highest self.
So today, take a moment to listen. What’s the soundtrack of your life right now? Is it raising you up, or pulling you into old patterns? You get to choose what you tune into.
